Chinese Democracy - Anyone?

Post by scipioafricanus »

Well the long wait is over, so what is the verdict?

I have listened to the sample tracks on iTunes, and I am a bit put off. A few seem to have a Euro-Pop beat.

Worth the money for a buy? Did Axel make a mistake by finally releasing the album? Best ever?

Thoughts,

Consider this. Axl is the only member of GnR that's still in the band. The rest of the band went to form Velvet Revolver with Scott Weiland. If you want something that sounds like old GnR, get Velvet Revolver. As for Chinese Democracy, well, I don't think I'd even download it off of Napster to steal a phrase from one of Mancow's listeners. (That was said about Saint Anger when it was released, btw)

They play it on the station I listen to at least twice a day here in Detroit. I could care less really, but it's not terrible though I wouldn't get up to change the station or turn the volume down.
