Desert Island - Albums you'd take

If you were exiled to a desert island, what 20 albums would you take? I know 10 is more traditional, but I couldn't limit myself that much, and CD's are smaller than albums. ;)

Here are mine. As I review the list, it seems I like to sing along, and I like lively.

1. Anthology, Lyle Lovett
2. Astro Lounge, Smashmouth
3. Beggars' Banquet, Rolling Stones
4. Blues Anthology, Muddy Waters
5. Come Away With Me, Norah Jones
6. Come By Me, Harry Connick, Jr.
7. Cowboy Songs, Riders In The Sky
8. Getz/Gilberto, Stan Gets & Joao Gilberto
9. Hang On Little Tomato, Pink Martini
10. Imago Best of Baroque
11. Irish Celtic Traditions, various
12. [strike]Little Creatures[/strike] True Stories, Talking Heads (misremembered)
13. My One and Only Thrill, Melody Gardot
14. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
15. Sinatra Reprise: The Very Good Years, Frank Sinatra
16. Swingin' New Big Band, Buddy Rich
17. Texas Flood, Stevie Ray Vaughan
18. Ultraspontane, John Jorgenson Quintet
19. Wish You Were Here, Pink Floyd
20. Zoot Suit Riot, Cherry Poppin' Daddies

Play away!

Assuming you get the power thing sorted out, a restricted list is so ... restricting.

Music enjoyment, for me, depends on my mood. Today it might be Johnny Cash's "Hurt", tomorrow it might be the "Mesicku Na Nebi" (Song to the Moon) aria from Dvorak's "Rusalka", and the day after it might be Tove Lo's "Habits".

Power's free, and the CD player and speakers will never go bad.

I was covering moods and genres.

I understand it's an intellectual exercise, but in the digital age, there is really no need to restrict yourself. One thumb drive can carry practically a lifetime's worth of music. :D

You only have a very, very small thumb drive. Sheesh. :P

Even then, if you compress enough (achieving that scratchy vinyl sound) you can cram a lot more in. ;-)

OK, then. You have a 1TB Ipod to take to a desert island. Give your complete list of music on it, ranked from most favorite to least favorite. Go.
