Yours on the other hand speaks of a level of idealism and optimism I didn't think you were capable of.
I'm afraid Obama is pretty much a definitive guaranty that we won't ever have another. No matter what.

Another black president a century and twenty-five more elections hence is overwhelmingly likely, and that anyone so chosen could not possibly be worse than HopeyDopey is a metaphysical certainty, so I think my statement stands on the merits as the far likelier compared to Fatso's prognostication.
The only high optimistic hopes I have is that another century hence, sorting people, let alone presidents, by their race will be about as popular then as using the N-word in everyday discourse (among non-rap "artists") is now, and that the 8 years of this current assclown stands as the overwhelming damning evidence against using Affirmative Action as the criteria for any future job selection, in perpetuity.

Hopefully the next POTUS who happens to have a high level of melanin will be like Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, etc.......

Johnson is particularly loathed in the Non-Texas south and it doesn't have anything to do with CRA '64 or any "Great Society" legislation.

Obama isn't even the worst president of the last 50 years, never mind ever (the last 50 years would be Johnson, by about an AU never mind a mile, ever... hard to say... Wilson probably, but there are other candidates).
So why would you be optimistic about the next black president not being worse than Obama?
You seem to be discounting the universal impulse of the left:
"It failed utterly... that means we have to do it again ONLY HARDER".
All true, but irrelevant.
Why assume the next black contender will be Democrat, or for that matter, even male?
100 years is a long time.

Obama: On foreign policy, he makes Carter look like Nixon. On questions of character, he makes Nixon look like Carter.

Even Hillary would be an improvement over Obama.
The Clintons were many things, but incompetent wasn't one of them.

It's kinda funny how a lot of liberals this morning are now calling Michael Moore racist because he focuses entirely on the race aspect instead of Obama's achievement. Those folks are suffering from a lack of reading comprehension, since that's what Moore is bitching about, Obama's lack of accomplishments. I guess getting the foot in the door regarding gay marriage and socialized medicine isn't much of an accomplishment for MM. But hey, when Obama is touted as the best thing since sliced bread and the third coming of Jesus Christ, you get quite disappointed to find out he's an empty chair (which Putin, the Iranians, and the Saudis have sat in farted copiously before running out of the room giggling at having got one over on the Great Satan capitalist pigdogs).
To me, it says the liberal ideal of diversity is lacking when they focus on Barack Obama being the first black president instead of the more accurate fact he's the second multi-racial president the US has ever had. But no one ever wants to be second place, or a big stinking #2.

I don't know what you've been drinking, but I want some.
If another black man runs, even if every black person in Washington DC, NYC, Chicago and Los Angeles has to vote six times in six different counties. The Liberals will be falling all over themselves to vote for him to prove they're not racist. It could be Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, Marion Barry or Ray Rice. The very same people who handed Obama the White House twice will do so again.
Unless of course the candidate is Republican. Then of course they're voting principles, not refusing to vote for him because he's black, unlike the people who didn't vote for Obama, the only reason for which could be racism.
Damn, contorting my brain enough to type that gave me a headache.
