Hipsters, with their endless obsession with cachet, especially involving music and food, have discovered hunting. Apparently, not content with beekeeping and Chickens, are now looking at killing and eating game.
Linky.
I forsee this following the usual Hipster pattern if it does become a fad with them - improvement, and ruination of the activity*..
*
Hipsters both improve and ruin everything they get possessed with, as they initially devote a fair amount of time to a formerly minor interest, causing it to improve, before it getting the stigma of being popular with Hipster douche bags.

Good. Now skip the boltie, and put an appropriate caliber AR in their hands. You want to win the culture fight? Start playing clever.

Cut to the chase, literally:
Get them interested in fox hunting and falconry.

I didn't think it was possible for them to be anymore smug and obnoxious.
Apparently, I was wrong.

I suppose its too much to hope for deeply discounted and lightly used bolties sometime in the near-ish future?

That's my point, plus it gets them out of the way of actual hunters.
There's nothing I'd rather read about more than some trendy toffs riding to hounds or thinning the urban pigeon population and helping endangered raptors at the same time, while simultaneously giving the PETA-freaks a healthy crotchkicking. Buckets of win there all around.

Somehow, I could see hipsters and fox hunting going together...

Hey now, I was a falconer for several years- and I'm in the process of getting my permit reinstated now that I'll have the time/resources...plus it's a growing part of wildlife abatement activities in places like landfills, vineyards, and airports, where shooting might not be practical. That makes it a potential job.
Still a gun nut, still a hunter...I just happen to be just as nutty about my raptors as I am about my firearms.
The photo is me about 10 years ago. What a dork, right?
