In that they were BOTH VERY talented people, I wish them BOTH to R.I.P. No doubt BOTH will be immensely missed, ESPECIALLY by those who personally know them, know them best, and their family members!!
However, EACH of us is INCREDIBLY important and IMMENSELY VALUABLE, regardless of your social standing and popularity!!! ALL of us have something to give, critical decisions to make - kinda' like going back in time and stepping on (and killing) a seemingly unimportant butterfly millions of years ago.
Wat EVERYTHING boils down to is LOVE - 'cause that's ALL that REALLY matters. When your time ends, how will you be judged by your actions during this time??? Nothing persists beyond this life other than love (which energy still exhibits although some might also call it "attraction" on a sub-atomic level). And in the end, that's all that really matters. What matters is how we treat each other, NOT ourselves! Why else do you feel so good when you do things for others vice yourself???
YMMV (even though I'll still subscribe to my own thoughts on the matter)!!
I'm pretty sure Lou Reed *MIGHT* have figured it out (perhaps not).
