Does anyone know the name of the book?
It takes place on another planet, and their is going to be a massive economical collapse unless there is a massive Maoist return to the land movement..any one know the book in question?

If you have usenet access or are not averse to using Google Groups, you could ask this on the REC.ARTS.SF.WRITTEN newsgroup, and post it with YASID in the title (Yet Another Story ID). They're pretty good at ID'ing but try to provide as much detail as possible.
There's a lot of lefties there too so a story about Maoism is more likely to be known to someone
