Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. coming to ABC in the fall, produced by Joss Whedon. Hopefully, ABC won't screw it up.

Sigh. I guess it works.
I was hoping that he would use his new juice to revive Firefly.

Dude... he was never gone.

"Sir... I thought those cards were in his locker"
Hmm, interesting... I took that line to mean that Fury had taken the cards out of the locker a dipped them in blood so that he could have a useful prop.

He did. Fury is THE spook. But remember, you never saw a body.

Plus, Clark Gregg had a couple more Marvel flicks on his contract.

Firefly is dead and gone, forever, except on DVD/BDs.
Hell, he killed off a chunk of the characters in Serenity anyways. Tough to walk that back, and not as fun to watch without the characters he capped.

Like the geniuses at NBC who cancelled Star Trek (because "there's no market for sci fi"), and the legend (esp. in his own mind) at CBS who dropped The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, and Petticoat Junction simultaneously (which were all Top Ten shows, and a similar move nowadays would get a CEO fired by the Board of Directors) junking Firefly was epic stupid. Or, just another day in network TV.

But you can never go home again.

Hollywood screws up good ideas for the same reason they have since forever: because they can.
It took a Peter Jackson level of genius to prevent screwing the pooch with Tolkien, Disney only got 1 good movie out of the C.S. Lewis books, and let's all remember the epic fail that was Verhoeven's Starship Troopers.

I'll wait to see what Joss Wheedon does with this one.

True, we never saw a body, but I would have thought that they would have shown Coleson alive at some point just to dispel confusion.

Hmmm...I think it's about time to break out the Firefly DVD's and watch it again. Maybe that will cheer me up.

Did Loki "kill" a Life Model Decoy instead of the real Coulson........ :geek:

I thought we saw Coulson's body, but I could be remembering what they wanted me to remember. I also thought Fury dipped the cards in blood to fire up the team.

Re: Firefly - they could always do more of the series with Serenity being the end of it. It could go straight to DVD. I'd like to see how River developed, and I'd like to see more explanation of the hints that Shepherd Book had more in his history than they ever revealed. Plus, I just like Jayne. Though I suspect that the set for the ship is long gone.
