Somebody sold an original hand phaser from ST on the tube recently, Comic Book Men or Pawn Stars or such. It sold for like $700, IIRC. They had an original tricorder as well. I bet somebody's gonna make quite a profit when they resell it.

Caught the last half of last night's episode of Castle, featuring a murder mystery built around "Nebula 9" ("one-season wonder, 12 episodes," heh) cosplay and a functioning "Thorian blaster" built by Armin Shimerman. Full complement of nods and winks to Firefly fans, of course.
