Dang. I actually liked "Sphere" for what it was worth, a good read while waiting for evening recoveries.

Perhaps one of the best modern day American storytellers.
He'll be missed.

Also a reasonable everyday philosopher and observer of human nature. Have a look at his
essays. I like the "how to fight" one. Much wisdom there...
