Hey! I never said it was "good".

What has been seen can not be unseen. That's why I will not be watching this. I just wish I could have told myself not to go watch episode one.

This and Turkish Star Wars became an annual test of endurance in my old apartment. Whoever could withstand watching both items back-to-back got a free dinner from one of the local sushi places out of each of the losers. I don't always like sushi or sashimi, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to win a contest that involves enduring hours of watching unwatchable crap.

Then again, I work with politicians from all parties every day, so maybe I had some kind of inherent advantage.

I had never heard of the Star Wars Holiday Special until the late 90's when the local comics store was selling bootleg VHS tapes. Everyone I've heard of who's seen it wishes they could un-see it. That's enough for me. Websites like this one provide enough information for me to be aware of it and how bad it is without permanently scarring my brain.

I trust XKCD's opinion in this matter as much as anyone's.
