I didn't think VW could ever come up with anything as fugly as the original VW bus. Looks like I was mistaken.

That's not a VW bus. That's the bastard child of a Nissan Cube and a PT Cruiser.

Transverse-engine, front-wheel-drive just like all the other "modern" tin.
Any bets on how long this over-priced buzz-box will last?

Probably about as long as the PT Cruiser. I don't see many of those on the road now.

That's not a VW Bus!
This is a VW Bus:
I courted my wife in a '65 VW Bug and hauled my kids around in a '78 Vanagon. My second son spent 4 years in college driving an '82 Vanagon.
We, the family, currently have two VW Jettas, a VW Cabrio and I just sold my '70 Karmann Ghia.
That's not a VW Bus.
Blasphemy.
Grumble, grumble...

Yeah, that just doesn't look like a proper microbus. We had enough spoiled Deadhead kids driving them around at my high school. The gearheads were rebuilding 1965 Mustangs, and the rich kids were having their [strike]Kubelwagens[/strike] VW Things fixed for them.
Me, I just had a borrowed 1979 Buick Regal that believed in idling at 30mph.

Do you need a sundial to check those 0-60 times with the new one?
