Granted I'm dating a different demographic (mostly 35-45 year old divorcees), but two or three dates is the norm... for better or for worse!

That's not true. It's not as prevalent or as open as when men pay for it, but women can and do pay for sex more often than many people think. They even included it jokingly in the movie "The Secret of My Success."Men pay women for sex, men will pay men for sex, but women don't pay men for sex.
