Stumbled over some old vids tonight - specifically
Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.
First, I'd forgotten how utterly
HYSTERICAL those people were! And they could
be risque at times
without needing to be filthy as 'most everything seems to be today.
And...
Goldie Hawn was **
SMOKIN'**
HOT! but also
somehow still
innocent... Too bad she turned into such a moonbat...But I digress...
It's hard to say which was her
greatest ASSet...
What was I... Oh yeah...
ASSet...
What was I....?
I think I need a cigarette...
Anyhow...
Please share your favorite 'Net finds from your earlier life. We've got threads for everything else, please help me fill this one out...

One more...
At times they were also eerily prescient...
Am I the only one who wonders what Sammy was up to at the beginning of that skit?

One of my favorites, Benny portrays both Rich Burt and Eliza Tayl in Who's Afraid of Virgin Wool:

Some, or all, of this humour may not translate into the Yankinese language. But knowing you lot, it probably will
Just being nostalgic for an era and culture I wasn't around in - the George Burns and Gracie Allen radio show. I discovered this when I downloaded some sound packs for a submarine simulator called Silent Hunter 4 ( so I could listen to authentic broadcasts while 'on patrol' ).
There were all kinds of 1940's US radio shows included, but that one I really enjoyed, the humour is way ahead of it's time - they have a talking pet duck called Herman and make fun of the soap company which sponsors them.

I remember seeing George Burns on Johnny Carson's show, they were talking about Bob Hope turning 85. Burns quipped, "Hell, when I was 85, I caught gonorrhea!"

I never really got Benny Hill. Maybe I was the wrong age at the time, a little too young.
It never gets repeated on UK TV ( I'm guessing because of political correctness issues )

They play it every weekend on AntennaTV here.
