First "True Grit" trailer

Post by Rod »

BigHollywood has IT! Short but it does seem to have the right feel about it.

One of the posters in the comments section hit the nail on the head.
A John Wayne remake with Matt Damon and Josh Brolin??? neither one is fit to carry the Dukes boots.

Already have a copy of the Duke version. See no reason to waste my time on something that, IF they did everything perfectly, would be almost as good.

Although they shouldn't make the movie, Jeff Bridges is fair casting. And it should mean Matt Damon and Josh Brolin get killed in it.

True Grit is one of my all time favorites. Maybe the Coen brothers can get away with it... I've been all over the country where the original was filmed, and have stood in the very spot where Rooster charges Ned Pepper and his gang late in the movie--it's a meadow near the top/on the west side of Owl Creek Pass, under Chimney Rock and Courthouse Mountain.

It's very, very wrong. I pronounce a fatwa on anyone involved in this blasphemy.
