Sorry, I edited your title to better reflect what it was and perhaps more people might be inclined to look if they didn't recognize the name.

I remember seeing them in concert here in the San Diego Sport Arena in the 1970's. They put on a HELL of a good show!! I remember them shining what looked like a green laser onto his highly polished, GLEAMING white cello, and then him spinning it, flashing the laser all around the inside of the arena. It was AWESOME!!

People think hitting a deer at 60 MPH can be bad, imagine the damage from hitting a 1300 lbs bale of hay!! I would suspect it would be like hitting a Moose, except the impact point would be MUCH further down and possibly NOT crush the roof of the car (or van as is this case).

I just love how the reporters make it sound (much like how guns attack people) like the bale of hay attacked his vehicle:
The cellist was killed on the A381 in Devon on Friday, Sept. 3, in an incident in which a bale of hay hit the van he was driving, reports the BBC.

Police are investigating if the runaway bale of hay – weighing at 600kg – rolled off a tractor from a farm close to the road. Edwards' van swerved and hit another vehicle but the other driver escaped the incident uninjured.
Why not just say: "Police are investigating if the runaway bale of hay – weighing at 600kg – decided to attack the van in which Edwards was driving or was looking to ambush some other unsuspecting driver coming down the road."

They claim that guns attack people, why not make this a terrorist attack from a bale of hay?? ;)

Regardless, his loss is a tragedy and his family and friends have my utmost sympathies. When I saw him playing, I certainly thought he was quite a gifted musician - and put on one HELL of a good show!

He'll certainly be missed.

As you should have. In fact, I should have thought of it myself. Thanks for the save.
