Yep. And the accompanying sample chapters mean you don't have to play Facebook games to get a free preview.

I really enjoyed "Live Free or Die", and I'm willing to keep going with the story, but, $15 for an e-book?!
Production costs?

It's a case of supply and demand - you're getting the book before the hardcopy version comes out, hence the padded price. Once the hardcopy hits stores, the price will drop.

$15 for an e-book 5 months before it hits shelves. If you gottahaveta read it before everybody else, pony up. If you don't, wait until January and the e-book is $6.Flintlock Tom wrote:I really enjoyed "Live Free or Die", and I'm willing to keep going with the story, but, $15 for an e-book?!

But it reminds me of the kid selling lemonade. A businessman stops to help out and asks "how much for a glass?" The kid responds "one thousand dollars."
The businessman, astonished, asks "how many glasses do you expect to sell at that price?"
Kid: "I only want to sell one."

Damn I am behind on Ringo....
I still need to read the Council Wars, Vorpal Blade and a handful of others.
Incidentally, Ringo will be a guest at Ravencon in April of 2011.

Actually it's $15 for the e-ARC. Electronic Advanced Reader Copy. In other words, it's the version before the final edit.
