I went out last night by myself and watched the movie Death Race with Jason Statham.
It was just what the doctor ordered: funny, violent, and over-the-top. Oh, it was absolutely predictable, but not in a way that defeated my suspension of disbelief. The film was rewarding in giving me exactly what I wanted, without always letting me know exactly how it would get there. My rating: 4 Rifles out of 5.
It would've been 3.5, but a totally hot Cuban chick wandering around the set for no good reason, in shorts that... well, I'll just let you see it for yourself.
