I think that the drug of choice might have been a tad more psychedelic than coke for that band.

Awesome song, awesome band! [For some reason I gravitate to the "Australian" sound of the mid-to-late 80s and early 90s-- part Rock, part Ska, part Reggae. INXS and Midnight Oil are others]. "Catch a Star" and "Down by the Sea" are my favorites off that album.
