Played Mass Effect 3 demo and Arkham City this weekend

Finished it up today. Honestly, I didn't think that it was that bad. A lot of the stuff leading up to the final end didn't make sense, but I was okay with the ending.

What bothered me was the complete lack of context for... well, everything, and the fact that they basically made all three endings identical with a color filter. And that all endings also ended in "You've won the game, remember to buy [strike]all our playsets and toys[/strike] DLC!"

I didn't recognize the ending narrator.

So... now that most of us playing have beaten it...

I like the indoctrination theory going around. It clicked with my own impression of the options, given what little sense I could make of them. Control? I just convinced the Illusive Man to kill himself for believing in that idea. Synthesis? Too much like what Saren thought he could achieve, and I convinced him to shoot himself for that, too. Both of them were indoctrinated to the point that they had no other way out. "Destroy" was the only thing that made sense to me.[/spoiler]

God damn it you guys are going to make me play it just so I don't have to tiptoe around all the spoilers. Any word on when the fixed ending is supposed to be coming?

[spoiler]My first playthough I did the synthesis ending. I wouldn't pick control because I didn't trust that it would work. Destroy was out because I had made peace with the Geth (giving them self-awarness with the death of Legion) and Quarians, and that would have wiped that out. Plus I had EDI and Joker getting together, and she was a part of the crew not a piece of kit on the ship anymore. I played it on PS3 so I missed most of the backstory from 1 with the exception of the big choices in the prologue offered. I didn't know that Saren wanted something similar to synthesis.[/spoiler]

Oh if you guys are looking for a game who's writers did not check out at the end and whose developers don't believe in DLC The Witcher Enhanced Edition is out.

Mass Effect 3 went downhill from Tali's homeworld. The endings were very poorly done.

Apparently, the writers didn't check out... most of them were cut out of the loop for the ending. The really frustrating thing is that, if Indoctrination Theory is correct... the ending is actually pretty cool, but still badly executed and not an ending.

I'll probably give Witcher 2 a shot sometime after I finish the first one... Hardly made it past the intro on my old computer, but its hardware just couldn't handle it.
