That's probably how they pitched the show to the network execs.

The latest FMJ is entertaining, and perhaps a bit surprising. One guy takes a headshot and loses a tooth.

The latest Top Shot episode features some fun toys, BARs and the Milkor M32 grenade launcher. I wonder about "marksmanship" and use of these weapons--the BARs seem to be all over the place, and the grenade launchers lob rounds like slow pitch softballs. I wonder too that History may be trying for some "diversity" angle, not that there's anything wrong with that ( )... two asians, two blacks, two females, one of whom is also latina. The lady on the blue team is an Italian hottie, IMO. 8-)

They have always had at least a few women and minorities every season but the PC angle is rarely played up in the competition, if your a bad shot you go. Besides, a network would almost be going out of their way these days to have an all white, male show, never mind the howls of the race baiters.

Top Shot features Benelli shotguns this week, shooting buck and slugs. One team has formed, one has yet to gel. A female goes into elimination. The targets don't explode for a change, they spin, and timing is everything. Good episode.

FMJ is good too, probably the best joust so far.

I haven't posted on this in a while... the latest episode of Top Shot was VERY good, IMO--the remaining competitors have donned the green shirts, signifying that it's now an individual competition. The initial challenge was shooting a .338 Lapua magnum at 1,500 yds, with the shooter taking longest to hit the target immediately eliminated. It's something of a heartbreaker.

The elimination challenge features perhaps the most experienced pro against the tyro. I won't give anything away. ;)

Okay, I'll put this thread to bed--here's the Top Shot final competition. It comes down to the very last target, between a self-taught shooter and a military/law enforcement instructor. Very good show:

The last I'd heard, the show has not been picked up for a fifth season.
