Sometimes I wonder if they realize ...

... the irony. I just watched 'War, Inc' and really liked it. But, is someone like me is supposed to get like it. The way I read it, it was a lot like the movie 'Thank You For Smoking' which I also don't know what their intent was.

Ok to break it down. 'War, Inc' synopsis, America invades Turaqistan (Iraq) using Haliburton (called Tamerlane) who is actually calling all the shots anyway and is simply using America to cloak their actions in something almost appearing legal. What follows is everything and the kitchen sink of what the left claims on the news about what is going on. Psycho soldiers, mass slaughter, chaos in pacified places, corporate greed, and Americanism being nothing more then a slogan to sell t-shirts (or whatever) all rolled into a movie that to me seems to mock all of the commentary of the left by blowing it as big as they act like it is. If 'War, Inc' is really supposed to be commentary on the Military Industrial Complex then they should have gone with 'Lords of War' which at least gets the sheep to think what that guns are evil. I REALLY want to know if this was actually meant to say what it is supposed to say, or not.

'Thank You For Smoking' paints Big Tobacco as evil profiteers of death (to be lumped together with Alcohol and Firearms) who only use such things as freedom of choice and right to choose as slogans. But, really, was that movie actually for or against the anti-smoking cult? *Shrugs* I dunno. I sometimes wonder if some of these satires are for real and the lefties really don't see the irony in their own message or if maybe their are some closet conservatives who are tweaking the lefties noses without them ever getting the joke.

Edit for grammar.
