The Japanese ruing Lovecraft for me

I thought the online comic strip placing Cthulhu and other Lovecraft monsters in the world of Hello Kitty was bad, until I saw the Crawling Terror as a Japanese school girl. Admittedly she swings a mean crow bar.

Everyone thinks that Japan's GDP is based off of manufacturing consumer electronics and vehicles. It's actually based off of messing with the rest of the world's head through comics and animation.

Japanese exec: "Yeah, that's a good idea, but I think we need to make the characters underage crossdressing cyborgs."

American exec: "But the title of the movie is 'Grumpy Old Men' for crying out loud!"

Japanese exec: "So you're saying that they need to summon demons from beyond space and time, too?"
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

“PET PARENTS?” You’re not a “pet parent.” You’re a pet owner. Unless you’ve committed an unnatural act that succeeded in spite of biology. - Glenn Reynolds

I LOL'd when I saw this book on Amazon, The Jewish-Japanese Sex and Cook Book and How to Raise Wolves by Jack Douglas. At $129.00 for the paperback, I won't be ordering it, but I'll certainly look for it at garage sales.

Originally published in 1974, I wonder if it has anime inside? Inquiring minds, and all that.

Believe it or not, I used to have that book! It was written by a former writer for the Tonight Show (back when Jack Paar was doing it). It's about he and his Japanese wife moving to Canada (with a toddler, and another baby on the way) to try and return two raised-in-captivity timber wolves to the wild. It's a little too bunny-hugger to suit me, but parts of it were really funny.

And, no, there is no anime. Just trying to save you a couple of bucks.
But there ain't many troubles that a man caint fix, with seven hundred dollars and a thirty ought six."
