I need a new fiction author to follow

the Day By Day Armageddon Series - JL Bourne. 3 books and counting

The first one was okay. The second one bored me away from the series.

I thought 1 & 2 were done well, but there were some turns in 3 which I didn't like. You go from the single person viewpoint done as diary entries, to between multiple viewpoints, mostly dropping the diary entries. One storyline ends way too quickly with too few explainations. And with the addition of the Remote 6 antagonist group from the second book, their part in book 3 leaves too many questions unanswered.

Cornwell's stuff is great. Went on a binge of his books after reading one.
