this is an email i received today.

Can you believe this was done by a teenager!

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy 25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.
It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos of the rock (all angles).
I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.

Great work.

Just goes to show there are conservative parents out there (Still) instilling a sense of national pride and a knowledge of history in SOME of the next generation.

I got curious and googled. According to Snopes, the text with the email isnt totally accurate. Ray Sorensson actually makes a new mural every year around Memorial Day, covering the old one. The one on the photos is from 2003-2004. I think that even makes the story better in my mind.

The Rock even has a website: http://www.thefreedomrock.com/

Priceless!!
