Now that I have had my new iPad Air for a while, I'm thinking about jailbreaking my old 1st generation iPad. Have any of you done this?
The main reason I want to do this is to set it up as a semi-permanent display unit in my truck, for things like GPS display, maybe one of the new bluetooth backup cameras, things like that that won't play well with a stock iOS device.
Thanks for any hints or tips you may have.

Jailbreaking my old iPad
this ipad is close to 3 years old.
i once read a disgruntled customer write he had to get a new ipad every 2 years.
2 years, 3 years, is not ok with me.
i hope to find a fix.
