Linkarooni - I KNOW I and my wife were victims of price manipulation for RAM during this period - and I wondered WHY were paying so much more for this RAM than other types of RAM:

You qualify for money if you bought DRAM or products containing DRAM (computers, printers, video game consoles or other electronic devices) between 1998 and 2002. No documentation is required to file a claim.

The minimum recovery is $10, while larger purchasers could receive a $1,000 or more.

Of course, DO NOT be surprised if the larger claims would want proof of your purchases.

I have NO PROBLEMS with people making a profit, but to artificially control the price of RAM due to collusion of the other manufacturers to perform PRICE FIXING is just wrong.

Is that the same time period which came right after "SOMEONE" said there was a fire in their factory and it destroyed almost EVERYTHING and they needed to rebuild since they were a PRIME RAM manufacturer - and THAT'S WHY we suddenly had much higher RAM prices?????

I thought the mention of GEEKS might help. ALTHOUGH, even if you ARE NOT A GEEK, you might STILL be able to submit a claim as long as you PURCHASED something which CONTAINED the price-controlled DRAM:

The Settlements cover only “indirect” purchases of DRAM. Direct purchases from the DRAM manufacturers are not covered under these Settlements.

As long as you did not buy DRAM “directly” from a DRAM manufacturer (see list of Defendants in Question 9), your purchase of DRAM or a device containing DRAM is an indirect purchase. Usually only big companies make purchases of DRAM directly from the manufacturer. Indirect purchasers buy DRAM or devices containing DRAM from computer makers (e.g. Apple, Gateway, Dell), retailers (e.g. Best Buy, Staples, Costco), and many other resellers (e.g. CDW, Ingram Micro, Amazon.com). Registered. I should be good for a $100 payout. If contacted for verification, I don't have receipts, but I do still have the items purchased. I'm not a hoarder, but I don't throw a lot of things away

We bought two pricy computers (one still in hand with receipt, and we have receipts for the other) and a DVD player during that period. We're going to review the rest of the records (mostly online by then but the databases are offline on backups) to see if we have anything else. It'll be interesting to see what we are "entitiled" to.

I have... almost no way to document purchases made 12 years ago. Heck, I'd have problems figuring out exactly what was purchased in that period.

But unless you're claiming a lot more than most people, you don't need to worry about the documentation. They give you a certain number of devices to claim automatically (WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION) if you make a claim.

MAKE A CLAIM - we ALL KNOW you made AT LEAST A FEW purchases of items containing their memory, so make the claim!!!

DO NOT encourage other companies to do the same by not making a claim (even though it takes LESS THAN 5 minutes), and by doing so (NOT making a claim), you're rewarding them for their conduct.

FILE THE CLAIM!!! YOU KNOW YOU MADE MORE PURCHASES THAN THAT, SO MAKE THE CLAIM!!! It only take a few minutes!!!

DO NOT encourage them to do the same thing later on!!!
