Question for Techies

Some sort of schmegma made its way into my phone's MicroSD slot. I pulled the card out, cleaned it off and it now works fine in another phone and in my USB reader. However, there must be something still left in phone's slot because it won't read the card. It acknowledges a card is in the slot, but reads it as empty.

Any thoughts on how to clean it? I've tried canned compressed air to no avail. A small amount of rubbing alcohol followed by compressed air?

Didn't have any toothpicks so I whittled down a wooden BBQ skewer. A little crap came out but it's still not reading the card.

Looks like the local Radio Shack has Deoxit in stock. I'll pick some up this afternoon.
