I know. But at the time (less so now) Nexus devices were a *screaming* bargain that was hard to resist. Smartphone with flagship-level hardware for less than half what other flagship phones cost, unsubsidized.HTRN wrote:ALL the Google Nexus Devices are light on storage, and don't have SD card slots. This is a deliberate move by Google to force people onto their cloud services.Greg wrote:Still have the Nexus 4 btw, and I'm still perfectly happy with it. Except it's a little light on storage (16GB only), so I can't be a packrat.

Hence why I find the OneplusOne so appealing.
A truly "pure" version of Android, by enthusiasts(Cyanogenmod).
Stupid amounts of memory(64gb).
A decent camera(13 mp)
a large screeen(5.5inch)
relatively low price(350 bucks)
Frankly, I'd order one today, but between my Laptop cracking the screeen(replacement digiitzer - just under 200 bucks!) and my car insurance coming in, with a dramatic increase(not entirely unexepected). I'm gonna be short on cash for awhile. gonna have to soldier on with the damn flip phone.

Looks very appealing, but I'd be a little concerned about QC and CS. One+ itself is a new company with no track record. It's offspring of Oppo, who have some track record but themselves are still new. They're looking to aggressively expand and make a name for themselves, thus the incredible deal, but I'd worry about execution and follow-through and all the typical 'Chinese company' issues.HTRN wrote:Hence why I find the OneplusOne so appealing.

Re: Help Me Choose: iPhone 6 or Galaxy S5
When we got our new contract about a year ago I had a choice between an Galaxy S5 or a Droid Ultra. The two phones were close enough in spec not to matter, the Galaxy was $200 and the Droid was free for the same contract price, so I went with the Droid. I like it just fine.
I've never had an iDevice (although wife has an iPhone 5S (IIRC) and an iPad). Not really a fan of Apple products.
