I don't know if that could be done in a home dehydrator. Commercially, that's done under a vacuum, to boil away the liquid, without burning the ingredients...

I think the molecular gastronomy folks have something along those lines - a rotomax, maybe... Rather expensive, and small, for what it is, though...

A strong enough vacuum chamber is the tricky bit, I think.

Yes.
Boil frozen mixed veggies in salted water until slightly tender. Drain. Dehydrate.
A 1/2 cup of dried mixed veggies per pack is plenty for 2 people. Add 1/2 cup instant rice.
Vacuum pack together with one chicken bouillon cube.
Tape a 6oz can of canned chicken breast meat to it.

Voile'. Chicken soup for two.

If you are really tight on room in your pack, you can also shred the canned chicken (or cooked ground beef) and dehydrate it. But it won't last as long as the veggies before use.

If you're backpacking, you might want to swap out the can of chicken in favor of a foil pouch.
