BIT: Using an iPhone 5 as a work place comp

Post by Aglifter »

All I really do is work on a spreadsheet, and read emails, and browse websites - I admit that some websites don't open well in the inherent browser, but I think there might be better ones available...

And, I don't know how to send or receive PGP emails on one.

I print a fair amount of documents, but I can do that on an iPhone.

I like the idea of keeping my work info on me at all times - not sure if an iPhone is better than an Mac w the native encryption turned on - I think it's easier to remote wipe an iPhone than a stolen
laptop

Or, I could get... Say a note or galaxy or something if an Android makes more sense - my brother had an iPad stolen, and the thieves never connected it to the internet to wipe it - or, at least, haven't yet.

I don't know if it's still available, but years ago, Sanyo phones had a feature where you send a text to one, with the right code, and it would delete the contents.
