Jailbreaking my iPad

In the GPS thread, I mentioned that I was thinking about jailbreaking my 1st gen iPad so that I can use it with a Bluetooth GPS that I have. I'm currently running iOS 5.1.1, which is the newest, and apparently last version for 1st gen iPads.

Have any of you jailbroken your iPads? Have you had any problems after doing this?
