I will be at work tomorrow (I do troubleshooting for backups, storage, clustering and virtual machines for MS)... We have a couple of programs that we use to trace the VSS process and tell us exactly where the failure happens.

Shoot me an email on here and I will forward it to my work email and then email you back.

Thanks for the offers of help, gentlemen. :) I'm working odd hours, and six or seven days a week at present, it's busy season at work. I'll get back to you when I'm able.

After misbehaving for a couple of weeks, backup ran on auto last night, and completed successfully. Go figure. :roll:
