if she is that old and planning another cruise, make sure that her deposits are transferable in case of death... i dont want to sound callous, but it would suck to find out that she had paid for several tickets in her name only to not be able to use them.

That or have some kind of travel insurance that will pay you out if something happens and the trip can't be made. Trust me, the insurance is worth it. We had to cancel a non-refundable trip planned a couple years in advance when Kimberly had her back surgery. That little insurance saved us several grand.

The down payment was 100 bucks, she doesn't have to pay until just before the trip. It's refundable at any time before the trip and we always get trip insurance. With the state of her health, the problems she had on this trip, AND the way Africa is heading, she may decide rather fast not to go. Thanks for the welcome back guys [/sarcasm].
