The Alaska Regional Office GIS team is currently advertising for a GS-0303-5 administrative support assistant. This position is located in the AKRO GIS Team and services GIS, I&M, and RTCA.

Major duties include but are not limited to:
  • * Input and maintain time and attendance records and administering travel requests authorization and payment vouchers.
    * Maintain inventory of property and division expenditures obtained through requisitions and travel costs.
    * Receive telephone calls and ascertain nature of calls and/or refer callers to appropriate staff members.
    * Duplicate reports, correspondence, and studies; forwarding information to appropriate offices or staff.
    * Draft correspondence and edit for content, clarity, correct form, punctuation, spelling and grammar.
    * Type and prepare correspondence from handwritten and transcribed drafts.

The person selected for the position will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant for the National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Team, in Anchorage, AK. You will perform a full range of administrative support functions for the GIS Team in support of time and attendance record keeping, reception work, and preparing and typing forms to authorized and complete trave vouchers.

Full Performance Level is GS- 05

Thanks, but I'd rather starve. Or more likely, get my house foreclosed and have to live in my little cabin in the middle of a national park, until pukes like whoever gets this job try to force me out. I figure that with the enemy in charge, it is just a matter of time before they start making a move against inholders again.

Yeah, but if a freedom-minded conservative takes the job, there will now be someone on the INSIDE to keep this kind of stuff from happening and/or arguing against such actions.

The land belongs to the PEOPLE, NOT the bureaucrats.
