30 years ago today, i was presented to my parents as their bouncing baby boy...
i know that i have been the source of much of their stress and their gray hair... I can only hope that somewhere in the mix i have made them proud too...
but damn, every time one of my kids just smiles at me when they are told to not do something, i know that i am getting payback for the hell i put my parents through...
anyways, here's to the next 30... and i hope 100 more

Happy Birthday!!
May your children bring you the same pain and suffering you brought your parents, along with the same joy and happiness - and PRIDE that goes along with a child exceeding his parent's expectations and bringing them smiles a mile wide!!

Funny, you sound old too.

I do find it interesting that the folks on this board are generally younger than they sound. Something about sounding like grown-ups when they say stuff...
Happy Birthday.

I actually take that as quite a compliment... thank you
i think perhaps the perceived maturity is because so many of us are strong supporters of rights and of freedom... in order for us to be this way, we have no choice but to make sure that we know what we are talking about and know how to communicate our ideas in a manner that makes sense without being insulting or condescending...
I also know that for me at least, i have had several times where long standing positions of mine have been changed by rational argument and by people pointing out that my views were not in line with the ideals of freedom... the ability to allow your views to be flexible is the very height of maturity in my eyes.

Happy birthday! And remember, it's not the years, it's the mileage.

Happy birthday, young pup. REAL supporters of liberty have to have turned 30 at least 38 days ago, like me.

Happy birthday.
While I am glad to see a younger generation join in the battle for the Constitution, let's not start any of that "passing the torch" nonsense.

Happy birthday!
I recently woke up and was 35. Back in school with early-20-somethings.
The view is good though.

Can't complain about that.

just because the torch is made from rags stripped off redcoats and you had a tough time learning in school because of all the noise from the civil war is no reason to deny us youngsters a bit of the fun
