Like Rumpshot said, treat it as practice, and keep looking.
Best of luck!
Roger that!! Don't quit now. Ray, when I get a chance, I'm going to dig through the various divisions of my VERY LARGE company and see if I can't find something for you down that way.
Did you send "Thank You" cards? Was there a possibility of getting feedback on your interview? If they didn't offer, frequently if you call, the interview chair might offer you feedback. See what they have to offer.
I'm not saying it might happen in this instance, but there are times when people decide either they "really" don't want the job, or it's not for them, and they bail; and the next best promising candidate OR who gives the most interest and appears to be easiest to work with gets offered the job. ASK for interview feedback. You have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.
Unfortunately, I don't have many strings I can pull down that way.
Are there any job fairs coming up? What about Disney's largest employer, Florida (oops, I guess it's the other way around), or anything else up in your area??
Try government jobs, call Dumbo in the White House and tell him you voted for him (a little white lie) and see what he can do for a disabled vet. Call him on his word to take care of our injured/disabled servicemen.
Nothing's out of bounds when it comes to government jobs - you need income.
Does anyone need a range box?? Is anyone interested in an "Ammo Storage Box"??
DAMN, and I thought you had a real good shot at it too, and it was getting REAL hard to walk but I guess my toes crossed didn't work out too well (but who knows, you still might get the job if the top candidate decides they don't want it).
