Seven days and I'm gone

Post by Highspeed »

The big freedom bird is taking me back to the UK in a week. No point in me staying here now our house sale in the UK has fallen through. Need to regroup, make some money and persuade the wife that risky as it is, our long term future should eventually be in the US.
I like Spain OK but I don't think I'll ever be properly happy here.

I'm looking forward to leaving the heat. Heat is OK unless you have to travel everywhere on a pushbike. I'm fitter now than I have been in 10 years and my bad legs and hip have held up amazingly - improved even, but enough is enough.

I can't wait to get back, but I'll want to be moving on again in a few weeks :)

Good luck, keep in touch. If nothing else, time spent immersed in an area filled with Spanish speakers could come in handy when you eventually get over here, depending on where you land. 8-)

Yes, good luck, and let us know what happens. :)

Who knows, I might be following your example.

Highspeed, you might give Trinidad State Junior College a thought if you're interested in gunsmithing. They do or did have quite a reputation in the field. It's beautiful country to boot, near the Colorado/New Mexico border. They DO speak some Spanish down there, but English was still the official language last I knew. ;)

Here's a webpage on the town, google Trinidad, Colorado for more:

I wish there was some way we could help you. If I had a company with lots of employees, I'd see if I could sponsor you coming here.

I wish I could do something as well.

A gun is a tool, Marian; no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.
