Squirrel season is starting. I think I will let my youngest daughter start shooting at living things now. Considering the mess she was when we got her, this is progress.

Also, my niece was valedictorian at her HS and scored a scholarship to Amherst, so that is cool.
Is that UMass Amherst?

Decent reputation as a liberal arts school, but they're slightly to the left of Stalin. I knew some folks who went there. That awful Mizzou Click woman was from there.

Nope, the other one.

How's he liking that? Junior 'Bix has been thinking about it, but he can't quite make up his mind.

He likes the job, and the money is good. One week he grossed over $2000 pre-tax. That was an exceptional week though, because he sold 2 new HVAC systems and a replacement water heater on 5% commision, in addition to his hourly pay for repair & installations.

Right now he is very busy: he's out the door at 0700, and may not get home till after 1800-1900. I told him that would change significantly about Oct 1, when the weather starts cooling off, so not to budget his money at current income rates.

We haven't bragged about our kids in a while. Anyone have any positive news?

My youngest has been in AIT for the Army Reserve as a Practical Nursing Specialist (68C). She took the NCLEX, the Texas Vocational Nursing Exam, which I understand the Army uses because it's the toughest in the nation. She passed, so she's a licensed vocational nurse in Texas. She got honor grad and an Army Achievement Medal for her performance in training. I don't know what the AAM actually means, but I guess it's good.

The Army is in a bit of a charlie foxtrot as to how to discharge her given all the virus stuff, but we should be seeing her soon. I'm guessing they'll get tired of feeding and housing them while telling them to stay in their rooms.

Darlin Daughter graduated college Cum Laude last May and got hired by the neighboring counties Job and Family Services agency as a case worker.

I couldn't do it but it seems to be her dream job. She likes at least trying to help the kids.

She also has her own apartment (although still WAY too much of her stuff here according to CINCHOUSE).

i taught my oldest to sew, she's 6 (7 in July). She can make masks all by herself, and is giving them away on our porch.
the 4 yo can do everything except run the machine by herself. She sits on my lap and pushes on my foot to run the pedal...but she can sew a seam hand-turning the wheel, and she does all the ironing.

the 2 yo just does ironing, and she needs a little help to move it around. :)

They made one mask for my dad that I didn't touch. I gave them pieces of fabric and they did every other step without me laying a finger...I guess I held down the pleats because the oldest doesn't have the finger-strength yet.
I told her that once she could sew a mask she was ready for more responsibility...Surprise - she's getting a .22 Crickett in her favorite color.
She's very excited. The mount and red-dot showed up, just waiting on a rifle.
