Do you anticipate spending time in or around the airport in Spokane?
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Ditto for Kimberly and I. I wish we could do more.

I don't remember if you've already said, but how old are the kids? And hasn't the court heard from them regarding WHO they want to raise them, and where they wish to live?

I have a brother/sis-in-law in Bellingham and a sister across the border in Richmond. Kids are getting older and starting to move on -- might have rooms open. They're both very inclined to hospitality. You be up for a day here and there or for days at a time?

Sounds like you did, and you obviously also ran into a judge who wilfully forgot the rule that the layperson representing herself is entitled to the court's highest consideration and courtesy... Bah.

Just in case you're ever stuck in this position again, it can't hurt to ask for a postponement to allow you to retain counsel, even if only to get yourelf a breathing-space. Another thing lay litigants can do is request a reasonable period of access to the court's law library, in order to inform themselves of the legal isues at stake, if any come up or are raised during the hearing.

That is my question. At some age(it varies from state to state), the kids do get to give their preference, and it does carry some weight.

one can be a Democrat, or one can choose to be an American.

If the asshole's local lawyer is a former associate of the judge, shouldn't she have recused herself?

She probably felt she didn't have authority to do that.

Not that exact type of mission, but I'm certain 99% of us are thinking something similar.
