Well, I got home yesterday afternoon and will still require a nurse to come by four times a day for dressing changes and stuff for another week or so.
Looking forward to getting off this soft diet next week but I'm having chicken and mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, chicken soup and cakes & coffee for dessert tonight at our Sabbath meal...Sister, couple of aunts, uncles and cousins and a couple of close friends will also be attending for I think 22 at the table...
They've given me some pills for the, now, mild pain but some others that make we feel real queasy, Doxycycline, to combat the mild infection I got last week that delayed my homecoming by four days...
I didn't know that Tim Horton was that popular in the States or that widespread...I knew some of the border states had them but never noticed them down southnever looked, really...I don't like Dunkin Donuts--their pastry tastes funny to me and their coffee was always just a bit better then the swill I received at restaurants—last time I had it was maybe 10 years ago--again, why Starbucks became such a hit, good tasting coffee...It lead to how many opposition coffee houses being opened up and how many roasters…Now most restaurants we eat at have good coffee as they’re able to buy quality beans, locally instead of having to rely on custom roasters by the hwd. Which went stale after awhile…
I make coffee at a ratio of 1 heaped teaspoon for each cup (8 spoons for one 10 cup pot) and my first in-laws pour 1/3 cup of coffee in a mug and fill the rest with hot water as they find it far too strong...the 2nd in-laws are Israeli so expresso is a norm and for them it's 12 spoons for the pot...strong but just add a little more creme/milk...
Thanks again, from my family and I, for all the well wishes...

Congrats SeekHer! Sorry, I just saw the thread. I sprained my knee last week and have been a little out of sorts myself.
A few years ago, I was working on a pc in an occupied patient room. The nurse came in 3 times within about 15 minutes, and the last time in, she quipped that "R.N. stands for 'registered nuisance'."

Is it me, or have the drugs messed with Seekher's ability to write coherently?
Am I? Really? I don't think so but I don’t know for sure? Two of these pills combined are making me feel ill, and I was told they will so sometimes I space out for a bit when typing. Unless you're jesting because I can seldom understand those "smilies" SOBs, except the very obvious ones...

My love of Tim Hortons is fed when I visit family in Canada. Unfortunately, I've yet to find a good chain donut joint around here.

Seekher,
Not sure how I missed the thread the first time, but I am glad to hear you are ok, or well on your way. Glad you made it out and home and hope you have a speedy and complete recovery.
I am now curios about this Tim Horton's place. I have always prefered Dunkin's to Starbuck's but, have never had the oppourtunity to try out Tim's.
