Deer season always came after antelope season when I had more time to hunt. We frequently ate antelope stew in deer camp.

Found this in an inch thick stack of printed recipes while trying to make my living room look less like a storage unit today.

Scout Tetrazini

1 can turkey, tuna, of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can water
2 packages ramen noodles

Heat soup & water, stirring until blended.
Bring to a boil & add noodles, stirring to separate (about 3 minutes)
Add one of the flavor packets from the ramen and the canned meat.
Heat until warmed through.
Serves 2-5

Or fresh liver, thinly sliced, dredged in seasoned flour and fried pink in butter. Serve with slices of caramelised apples and onions. I'm normally not a fan of liver, but fresh from the beast it is something else.

Glad to help.

Hoping to put some down on the ground right after Christmas. My last trip I saw about 30 deer, but none were very big, so I let them walk.

In an earlier go, I got a big doe with my rifle and a mid sized doe with my carry pistol from 10-15 yds.
