Actually the saddle shop moved a couple doors east. They are no longer in the same building, but are in the same strip mall.

Couple of nice gun shops nearby. One block north is Vang's place and 3 blocks north is Mazy's.

You might have to get in line behind me.

I am looking for the old Ball canning manual. I think it is the blue book as compared to the red book that is current.

I may be in a position to post a webpage with the titles on hand next weekend.

My mom has some real old canning books (remember, I posted about the old S&H Green Stamps books a while back?). If you have any pics available, I'll keep my eyes out the next time I head over there and see what she's got.

EDIT:

I was thinking about taking a whole bunch of my old paperback novels (and a few of them are series books) and donating them to the VA hospital. Now that I know you guys are up and running, maybe I'll split the boxes between you and the VA Hospital (I've got a LOT of books, including a few of the old Saigon Commandos books).

I'll have to see how easy they are to get to and what kind of condition they're in after being stored in the garage attic for years.

I'm proud to say I visited their store, and it's quite lovely! My little brother lives (literally!) down the road from there. If you're in town, Mazy's is a great stop, meeting Hans Vang always possible, and there's a whole lot of other neat things to see out that way.

When you're done buying a few good books from our new favorite business, there's a Sonic burgers right down the road.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Rumpshot, when's the next time you're heading out our way?

I need some heads-up to get my boxes of books down from the attic and see what I have to determine which (if any) I'd like to keep before giving them to you for sale. I don't even remember how many I have, but I know it's a few box-fulls.

I'll also need to determine which ones I want to donate to the VA hospital here in town, instead of giving you to put up for sale. I'd prefer you sell any series books I have than have them sold or donated piece-meal to others. There's just something about keeping a series of books together...............

Tom, please let me know if you're going to be heading over to AZ anytime soon that you might be visiting Rumpshot - I hope you wouldn't mind transporting a bunch of my old books over to him for sale.

Mike, the best guess right now is May for the Manzanita Rendezvous.

We really need to make a trip to the desert to check up on the property and stuff, this normally happens at Thanksgiving.

We appreciate donations. However if you think they would be better served going to the VA hospital, Balboa Hospital or a local veterans organisation, we would not be offended.

Speaking of Veterans, I placed a US Navy Retired decal on the front door of the store and ordered a small sign to put in the window that reads "Veteran Owned Business." Things are getting back to where they were before it was fashionable to kick dirt at Viet Nam Veterans. Much more like the 50's and early 60's when Veterans were respected.
