DD, I have a good friend who owns a company that sells orthotics among other medical stuff.

I've known him for 30+ years and know he is not the type that would steal a design. He doesn't manufacture the stuff, but has multiple contacts in the industry.

If you are interested in talking to him, give me a shout.

As my real goal here is to get back on my feet ASAP, and figure out a way to make this monstrosity less painful to wear, I would appreciate any and all help.

If someone else can benefit, then frankly "more power to 'em." Honestly, there can't be more than a few people on the planet who could use this thing anyway...

Actually, I could REALLY use a source for small quantities of plastic D-rings, swivel-snaps, rings, etc. A friend had a court-case yesterday, and I would have gone to give him moral support but there's no way I can get through a metal-detector with this monstrosity.

As to the "deep concealment holster"... well... I'll admit I've had a look at all this nylon and velcro and... well... Let's just say "great minds" and leave it at that. ;)

Something like this?
http://www.umei.com/buckles-plastic/pla ... s-2-10.htm
http://www.umei.com/buckles-plastic/pla ... s-3-10.htm

I figure any decent shop for fabrics, sewing supplies, etc would have it. Or at least be able to order it.

I've checked them all around here. Nothing. Apparently that sort of thing doesn't sell very well... I guess there aren't a lot of folks making the sort of stuff that could use them...
