Condition 0
From GunCounter
Term coined by Colonel Jeff Cooper to describe a carry condition of a Single Action Automatic such as the 1911 and the Browning Hi-Power.
A round is in the chamber, hammer is cocked, and the safety is off.
This is basically the weapon in a state where it is ready to fire. It should only be in this condition when the pistol is properly gripped and the sights are on the target.
