WECSOG is an acronym for "Wile E. Coyote School Of Gunsmithing", which refers to amateur gun smithing work performed in home workshops by individuals who have not necessarily received specialized gun smith training. WECSOG projects often involve modifications to military surplus type weapons, and in particular the construction of new semi-auto firearms using parts from de-milled surplus military weapons. In order to qualify as a WECSOG project, it is commonly accepted that blood must be shed sometime during the process, or some other injury sustained.
