Browning Hi Power Informational Sites

Sites for reference, information and discussion of the Browning Hi Power and all of it's variants

These sites should be bookmarked by any owner of a Browning Hi Power (BHP) pistol. They provide a wealth of historical and technical information, and the members of the discussion groups are a great resource for answering just about any question you have on the pistol, it's design, and it's operation.

FN Herstal's Official web site From the menu at the top of the page choose "Small Arms", then "Handguns", then "MK3S".

Stephen Camp’s Hi Powers and Handgunssite is mandatory viewing for any Hi Power owner, no matter what variation IMHO. 1911forum.comalso has a section for the Browning Hi Power.

A newer (to me any site) is the Browning Hi-Power Owners Forum

Wayne Novakand Bill Laughridge of Cylinder and Slideare 2 of, if not THE 2, premier gunsmiths in the US for work on the BHP platform. Another gunsmith highly recommended by many in the online community is Jim Garthwaite. Other names that come up regularly are Ted Yostand Don Williams. Even if you never plan to send your pistol to one of these smith's, the sites are a wealth of information about what can be done, and they have lots of pretty pictures too!

To add flexibility and cheap practice, there are .22LR conversion kits available. I do not own any of these nor can I recommend any, just listing them for your information. Florida Gun Works, JLD, Ciner. Crufflerhas discussion about some of these.
