Travelin' man - San Antonio

Post by Weetabix »

I haven't seen a Travelin' Man post for a while.

I'll be visiting my daughter in San Antonio from Feb 6-9. She's at Fort Sam Houston for AIT as a nurse.

If anyone would like to meet up for coffee or lunch, I'm available until about 3:30 on Thursday and 4:00 on Friday.

Anything in San Antonio I shouldn't miss?
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Make sure you hit the River Walk. Since it's near The Alamo it's a twofer
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

My daughter talks about that and took my wife there, so I'm betting that will be on the agenda.

Are you driving to get there? If so, from where and by what route? There might be things or people worth your time along the way.

Flying, unfortunately. I could use a road trip, but not enough time for this one.

San Antonio is great. Definitely hit the Alamo and River Walk. Some top-notch restaurants along the river, at quite reasonable prices given the quality. Also good restaurants over at Market Square, not far from River Walk. Pretty easy to get around on foot once you get the hang of it.
Shop at Traitor Joe's: Just 10% to the Big Guy gets you the whole store and everything in it!
