But it really makes me wonder. A billionaire, a fucking BILLIONAIRE, doing something so obviously fishy to save 300K. Do a little risk/benefit analysis on that. The return, to him, is basically nothing. Purely the satisfaction of the thing, of getting away with something. And yet it's something that could see him penalized or even in prison. Theoretically. Purely. The only way such a thing is conceivable is that he expects the risk is actually, truly, zero.
The whole 'fuck you, what are you gonna do about it?' expectation of total immunity to any consequences of obviously fucking with regulations like that, makes me wonder what else we're not seeing. And is also infuriating. Usually they pretend better.
