Take This Job And Shove It...

Post by Cybrludite »

As of 8am Central this morning, I will be semi-retired. After a bit over 16 years being the entirety of Ochsner's IT department overnight, I'm hanging up my keyboard & mouse. My house is paid off, no kids to raise & put through school (so far as I know), and no real reason to work a massively stressful job at odd hours with life & death ramifications (And HIPPA landmines with every password reset) for crap (For the IT industry) pay. Gonna take some time off to get my headspace & timing back to spec, and then find a side-gig or a seasonal thing to keep my reduced bills paid.

Congratulations and good luck!
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Congratulations. There a several of us that beat you to the retardedness. It is great. If you are like most of us, your calendar will remain full and you will wonder how you got anything done while working too.

good for you.

If you want the income of a job with the flexibility of mostly working when you want. What I do would fit that bill quite well. We spoke about it before and it works well for me. YMMV.

CONGRATULATIONS, Senoir!!! :D :)
