Hallelujah! Saw the spinal surgeon yesterday. The drugs seem to have worked well enough that I don't need surgery. Doc said, "I love doing surgery, but I don't think it's needed now.". See him again in 6 weeks and we'll decide if it's needed. He asked if I wanted to go ahead anyway even though the risk was greater than the reward. I emphatically said no.

Great!
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Continuation of the saga. After a nerve test (don't ask) I saw my doc Tuesday. He said that I had most of my strength back in my leg. He then says, "I'm a surgeon and I love doing surgery but I'd rather not cut now.". Honest man. We discussed options and I told him I'd rather not be cut on; we made an appointment for 6 weeks time. I wake up the day after our appointment and guess what! My back's out again, somehow pinched the nerve. Going to get in touch with him and see about rescheduling surgery. This sucks big time.

Sending prayers your way. Hope you find some relief.

Dammit Rod, quit this. It is bad enough that I spent some time in the OR, don't need to make a contest out of it. :-)

Seriously, get it taken care of and get better. We are all rooting for you.
